Ground breaking for Ray's shop

Kev

Recommended Posts

Well good news today. They showed up this morning.  They left one guy and left him by himself. All of the walls have been finished. He's in the attic I stalling the baffles. Kevin's coming over in the morning and we are going to install some drywall where the mini splits are being mounted. The echo has now disappeared in the shop.

Ray, you might have mentioned and I might have even asked;  are you subbing out the tape and float or is that senor Kev is for?

I think we'll be doing that but, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he hired that out....😂

Money well spent. However, they always blame the imperfections on the novice rock hangers. Good luck guys.

Yea, this one will have novice rock hangers as well...  Yea, that's us too....   😙

Ray will update with some pictures later but, we got about 1/2 of the plywood put up today..

If he's short on electrical outlets, I'll be thoroughly surprised!  🤣  I think we've had about 2 sheets (drywall and ply) that didn't have an electrical box in them...

Well we completed installing the birch ply Wednesday afternoon. Quiet frankly I did absolutely nothing in the shop yesterday as my back had enough. 😆 . Today spent some time cleaning up and put up and connected all of the electrical outlets in the shop with the exception of the 2 ceiling outlets. Monday afternoon they will do the blow in insulation in the ceiling.  Getting close.

Well the progress continues.  Got a bit done today in the wife's craft room. If I didn't know it before this (and I did) I hate drywall work. Thank goodness I have friends willing to help. The shop has been taped and mud. Certainly not the final. Did I mention I really don't like doing drywall?. Lol 😆.  Still a bit to go. I'll send pictures of shop when I clean it up a bit.20231121_175820.thumb.jpg.b45f36514eec49ab820ecce0095d270f.jpg20231121_175722.thumb.jpg.ab5876dfa7c64993f657b1805a083f4a.jpg
