  1. Yes absolutely used a bunch of my scraps. My wife saw this on the internet and forwarded to me. Was a bit of a pain to get it all set up but was happy with how it all turned out.
  2. Got all 34 handles made and installed. All I have to do now is fill the drawers and cabinets. All complete. Starting project for cabinets in the pantry in the house.
  3. Well the miter station is finally complete.
  4. Going pretty well. Have the miter station almost done. Cabinets built with all drawers done and all but 3 cabinet doors installed. Making progress. After I have that completed will be building cabinets for our pantry. Figured I would continue making cabinets since it's still all fresh in my mind. Will post some pictures when finished with the miter station. Thanks for checking in.
  5. She has some things she's bringing a few things that have been stored in the garage for the past year but nothing g specific to crafting. She's still trying to figure out what she wants to do in there. Sure it won't take her long to figure out what she doing in there.
  6. Well the craft room is finally complete.
  7. @Kevstand worked out ok. May think about redoing th slot adjustments as the back one are a little close to the wall. Didn't account for that.
  8. Have all of the carcasses built for the miter station and miter saw in place. Drawer glides and hinges arrive on Friday. May work on the top next.
  9. Started building lower cabinets for miter Station today. For sure will build 3 or 4 more. Haven't made up my mind yet. Hih temperatures today about 14. Mini splits working well. By sealing the electrical boxes made a huge difference. Was 64 in the shop ( had it turned down) and was actually a little warm.
  10. Well with all the electrical boxes sealed temperature in shop is 59°. Temperature outside is -5°. Much better. Supposed to get 8-14"s of snow in the next couple of days. Temperatures will be in mid 20s. Should be warmer in the shop.
  11. Had to do a bit of work today sealing the rest of my electrical boxes with some expanding foam. As Kevin stated temperatures were a bit warmer today. 1° was the high. Mini spllits stayed on all day. I was also informed that they don't do well below10°. We were certainly well below that the last couple of days. After sealing the boxes the temperature went up 2°. Got it up to 57. Normally they are 66-67° at about 20° outside temperature. That is plenty warm enough in the shop as I have had to turn it down a couple of degrees on occasion. Let's hope they keep operating as they did today. Still going g to. Are a phone call tomorrow. Will keep you informed. @Kev @pkinneb
  12. Got a bit done in the shop the last couple of days.
  13. @pkinneb have been having trouble with my splits today. 56 degrees was the warmest I could get the shop. They kept shutting down. Not sure why. Got them to work again for about 6 hours and they shut down again. Will call Monday to find out and update you then.
  14. @Kevwhy yes, yes she does. That's the wire management box. She helped me put up the trim. Perhaps she didn't see it. 😳
  15. Just a couple of pictures for an update. Also mini splits working great. Currently-4 outside and comfortable in the shop.
  16. Well spent a good part of the day in the shop milling baseboards and trin. 130 bf. All I have to do with them is square up the ends. Clear coat and put them where they belong. A couple of pictures the casings for windows and doors.
  17. @Coop had all of my equipment in our double car garage. It's a bit oversized so it worked out well. Still a little cramped but it worked well. That's another project when I have some extra time is to organize the garage. Glad It's winter so I have more time to get it done.
  18. Quick update. Kevin and I have got all of the shop equipment in the shop. What a blessing he is to help with all of that. I'm to dang old to be lifting that heavy stuff. He's not to far behind. Have got all of the casing work done for doors and windows. Clear coated all of the alder and installed. Will get some pictures out soon. Also went and picked up 130 board feet of more alder hopefully to finish the rest of trim and baseboard for both areas. Decided to go with alder with a cler coat. Really saved some money as we were going with cherry originally. Actually like it better because of the rustic look it provides with the knots. More to come later.
  19. @Chet well it looks like my floors are going to stay the way they are. Went a bought some muratic acid to clean the sheen that was still on the floor. Didn't change them at all. The sheen needed to be remove in order for the sealer to stick. Oh well.
  20. Well I am progressing. Hope to possibly start moving things into the shop this weekend. Craft room is complete except for trim. Shop is same. Wanted to clean floors with a floor scrubber because of all of the drywall garbage. Inquired at every rental businesses and all were broken. Go figure. Thought outside the box and rented a Rug Doctor. Did just fine. Looks 100% better. Pictures don't do it justice. Looking at sealing the concrete as it has oxidized quiet a bit. Will check tomorrow. Fi
  21. Good evening. Hope all had a blessed Christmas. Was at the electrical supply house this morning inquiring about the led bulbs they gave me for the fixtures. We'll my suspicions were correct. They were in fact the wrong bulbs. Got the correct ones and proceeded back to the shop. Fixtures were installed Christmas Eve. Wired them up this morning and they are nice and bright. 10 total. Cleaned up the shop today. Had to scrape floors to remove dried mud and paint over spray. Need to somehow remove sheetrock dust embedded in the concrete. Anyway posting a few pictures.
  22. Well the paint of the craft room and ceiling in the shop has been painted and complete. All of the lights are installed in both areas as well. Only problem for the shop lights is they are not working. There have been 3 different people besides myself trouble shoot the issue. Wiring these lights are not difficult. I have power to the fixtures but bulbs will not light up. Looked at the directions for the fixtures and the recommended bulbs are not the ones they gave me at the electrical supply house are not on the list. So we believe that they gave me the wrong led bulbs. The ones I have require a Load and a neutral at each end. The load an neutral are at one end only on the fixture. Will be at the supply house first thing Tuesday morning. Hope all have a very Merry Christmas. Will update Tuesday.
