  1. Will follow along! Not 100% sure but I thought I saw Matt Kenny do something like this in his 52 boxes in 52 weeks book. Now I have a question, you cut the long sides at 11” then added a 5” block for cutting 7” pieces. Was this a typo or California math?
  2. This should work fine, it seems strange that this is an issue with such a quality product. Almost makes me wonder why the wouldn’t include. Also you may need to find a metric sized bolt, since this was manufactured in a country that uses metric, not imperial.
  3. Do you have to use a 1/4” x 20? If there is still slop, use 5/16 and then grind to fit.
  4. I would leave them rolled up, that is how I store my veneer. If you can’t you should sandwich between plywood. You shouldn’t have to rehydrate them before use, not a good idea anyways, unless they are very brittle, you can check this at the edges.
  5. Should have made an extra so she had a canvas for an art project
  6. Congrats Coop! Hopefully you won’t get the itch to go back!
  7. Glad she liked it. Sorry I’m booked that weekend.
  8. Jamie, looking good! Finish line in site.
  9. I think the shadow lines from the top itself would create the illusion you want.
  10. Overall I like the design. Your bedroom must be enormous to fit this desk and the COD. I know on the COD you mentioned a place for your printer, any plans to incorporate in this design? As for cord management you could do a trough at the back, should help the floating look. I know you mentioned going away from power strips, but you could hide in the trough I mentioned or maybe in the risers.
  11. Maybe there is away to mount a few of those magnetic tool holders and then rare earth magnets in the door itself.
  12. If I could give this year a swift kick in the ass on the way out I would.
  13. I watched a few of his videos awhile back and did some nice work. He did an assembly workbench and had some good ideas.
  14. Coop was so worried his Jedi computer skills messed up his purchase he wasn’t focused on your hard work filming the unboxing, set up and review.
  15. To add to this and if I remember correctly, BCT as part of the sale provided Harvey with an easier way of entry to the US market. But the level of quality needed to be maintained or BCT could undo the acquisition. This was really important to John Ecconomaki who founded BCT. Based on this miter gauge and the looks of the offerings from Harvey that level of quality is being met.
  16. Wow! Guess you just needed that final little push. I’m really impressed with how fast you sold the old saw. Good luck with the new one.
  17. Gotcha. Buy it now so you can write it off for the end of the year.
  18. Chet that’s a really good thought about future proofing if assistance is needed.
  19. I get the more horsepower would be an upgrade, but if you haven’t bogged the current down then paying for extra hp seems marginal in my opinion. Since it seems HP is only upgrade, why not keep the 17” saw as the “small saw” and then get a 20 or 24” saw. Again it’s your shop and your money, but if it was me I would rather have the $1400 towards a saw like the Minimax 20” or 24” if they make.
