  1. In my opinion I think it depends on what you want to do with the bigger saw. If this is going to just be dedicated to curves and lighter duty work, I would probably save some $ and get the 1412 or 1 of the Rikon options in the same class. Now this would be a bigger upgrade than you grizzly than the ones I previously mentioned. Now for a strange thought. Could you trade the 17” grizzly for the 14” grizzly and then step up the larger saw to something bigger than you are currently thinking about. As for the bigger saw, what are you currently investigating?
  2. Coop, why not just build a knee wall. Your slanted wall seems overly complicated for basically blocking the view while sitting on the can. If a 4’ High knee wall isn’t enough you could add another 12-18” of frosted glass.
  3. I’m surprised as well. We give gifts to our son but otherwise don’t exchange gifts.
  4. Wow that is some fast shipping. Now you have another piece of content to get out while traveling for the day job.
  5. The trying is the best part!
  6. Nice work! That should serve her well for virtual learning.
  7. I tried getting to the forum from your website and it didn’t work. Just a heads up.
  8. Coop just sent me a DM that he was buying 1 of these for each of the Mods. It only took 43 years to learn Santa’s last name was Cooper! ?
  9. I forgot the guy who said this hobby was budget friendly, not a living sole ever said that. My bad!??
  10. Our old neighbor needed to get a permit for an outdoor kitchen, when they submitted for the permit and a pre site inspection the town brought up a unpermitted sun room from the previous owners. Made out neighbor tear it down and rebuild. Some towns around here will allow you to file the permit and pay a small fine. If this happened to me a dump truck full of cow manure would be delivered and dumped at municipal building.
  11. These would make good craft projects for kids. If you made out of pine or other light wood, kids could use paint and decorate them.
  12. Nice and will mean a lot to your mom!
  13. I’m not sure of the model I have, but I made a fence out of plywood, that thing is to fancy for my shop, the other tools will get jealous.
  14. I’m surprised it was the hands and not the side of your head or ass! ?
  15. Kev quick question. How do you like the cordless angle grinder? Good work on the dresser and video.
  16. Sure Coop, just admit that you are the 1 that walks the pooch and cuddles on the couch.
  17. In my opinion, I think this looks really strange. Obviously this is just a sketch up file, but it looks odd seeing the size of the final COD. You mention you need to build file cabinets and a sitting bench, maybe there is a way to incorporate into the file cabinet project. I think shelving across the entire span would look good.
  18. I would go ahead and assemble and not cut a relief. It may end up creating the appearance of a gap. Plus I doubt people are going to crawl on the floor to look at the underside of the table. The design "waterfall" is going to look a bit boxy but that is the design you and the wife want so build to the look you want.
  19. I had that thought as well, but it still seems low to me. If this was in a pro shop and you milled lumber 4 or 5 hours a day, your telling me that after 1 week on your new planer you need to change the oil in the gear box. Again doesn’t seem right.
  20. I remember that discussion, 20 hours would be ridiculously short, I doubt I would even consider a machine like that. 2000 for a hobbyist and 500-1000 in a pro shop where the machine is running basically non stop is probably more accurate.
  21. Nice job, seems like the perfect type of project to try a new technique.
