  1. I agree I used my first set in a recently finished bar and while it took a bit to understand what was what you are right they are awesome to dial things in.
  2. Coop nice save on the legs if you get any lines showing through after you get the first coat of paint on get a small tube of Bondo 907 like below and in about 20 min they will disappear. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Bondo-Glazing-and-Spot-Putty-00907ES-4-5-oz-1-Tube/16927984?wmlspartner=wmtlabs&adid=22222222222019318126&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=e&wl1=o&wl2=c&wl3=10364286325&wl4=pla-4578503896562266:aud-807615481&wl5=&wl6=&wl7=& wl10=Walmart&wl12=16927984_10001026848&wl14=bondo 907&veh=sem&msclkid=0e78c8d0d81f1c43acc9975518016541
  3. FWIW I have used my magnetic Forrest shims for years and never had an issue like that. I wonder if its the new supplier... Cost prohibitive? With all due respect its not like they give those dado sets away

    Track saw

I break down my sheet goods on the driveway with a track saw and 2" x 4' x 8' piece of foam. In the winter time if I have to, due to snow, I throw the foam on my outfeed table.
  5. A bit late but I use the TSO and love it. FWIW I have never clamped a rail in my life ?
  6. Exactly!! And IMO this is what makes America different we can have varying opinions and not be put in jail for it. I personally think this is a great thing, if we all thought alike how boring would that be. Hmm I must have been in the spray room and missed that part LOL...having said that I believe I had ABC on in the shop and the most disturbing thing I saw was a poll after the debate that showed 3o+ percent of those polled thought the debate was entertaining...seriously folks ?? Entertaining it's a flipping debate how about some real information and debating going on... Ok i'm done before I get booted ?

    Hcm

A little late but in my opinion a mortise machine without a moving table is a case in frustration. I owned two a Jet and a Powermatic both frustrated me to the point that they were sold. I then took a class at the MASW and used the Powermatic with the moving table and found it to be a game changer, I now have one in my shop.
  8. IMO It will be worth the wait. FWIW its my understanding that they are behind due to covid and the fact that he lost his wife in July.
  9. I agree! Re sharpening I have never had one come sharp regardless of price. Definitely sharpen and hone them you will be glad you did as they will work way better. I use the Lee Valley bits and they will stay sharp longer but do need to be sharpened and honed I use this process https://www.finewoodworking.com/2014/06/02/how-to-sharpen-hollow-chisel-mortising-bits
  10. Nice! Looks like fun was had by all. That;s pretty cool that you were able and willing to do that with the grand kids. I find that there is nothing quite like standing on the top of a mountain you have just climbed, it never gets old ...just harder ?
  11. Too each his own but seriously when will it stop!! It's hard enough to get lumber due to the slab craze next we'll be reduced to pallet wood and OSB ?
  12. This is what I do as well
  13. Nice that tool box looks brand new
  14. Congrats!! I have two of their saws and really like them.
  15. Very nice!! I really like all the detail you have with out taking from the overall design.
