  1. A+ on the wood / grain selection on the foot board Chet!! Looking forward to following along.
  2. That's all that really matters ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. Tuned out awesome Coop! Having said that $195 in finishing supplies had to hurt ๐Ÿคฃ
  4. Yes sir!! Best bang for your buck you will find.
  5. I'm with Kev on Auirou rasps and would start with the two he recommends as well as add Shinto rasp. Having said that I started using rasps on my sculpted bar stools. I added a Shinto and then two Auirou's like many tools as you use them you think ya know this shape or that grain would be better suited for this and now a few years later I think I have 8 plus like 6 riflers LOL
  6. I really like the leg round over detail
  7. I used the spray frosting (rattle can) on my theater marquee and it worked very well.
  8. I have to admit not a huge fan but I've definitely seen much worse drawer construction, next time add a wedge or two as well ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. I think you'll be very happy Bob! While I think the price is crazy, better on sale, but still high it is a solid piece of engineering in my opinion and I will never need another. Its simple, accurate, and like Kev said the micro adjust is a game changer.
  10. Couldn't you use the circle jig on the bandsaw at an angle and accomplish the task? If not a router comes to mind using many small cuts.
  11. I don't think the HP actually matters kickback hurts at best and is dang dangerous at worst. If you believe or determine you have a wonky board or stress in a board run it through your old friend the bandsaw ๐Ÿ™‚
  12. if at all possible you also want support on both or neither sides of a HCM bit, that would be tough to do after the first plunge with a nut shape
  13. ...and you call yourself a woodworker ๐Ÿคฃ On a more serious note the cabinet looks great!! I am going to make some changes to my router table (primarily replace the top and lift) but think I will add the inserts for the bits getting them out of the plywood has always been a bit of a pain
  14. Looking good! I typically pre finish my panels with a couple coats of whatever I am applying to the finished doors usually poly or something similar. This helps eliminate the lines you referenced as well as seal them up on all sides.
  15. I have done it but the last time it cost me the tip of my finger. Use a Festool plunge saw (I thought of this while getting stitched up in the emergency room ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ) or a router not worth the risk. Fwiw I was making custom grates for my office desk to vent the computer cabinet.
  16. As much as I like taking classes that one will probably never make my list either but just didn't want you to miss out ๐Ÿ˜„ I'll be there on 6/11 for the Michael Fortune #1 chair class as well as the jigs class the weekend before and his bs class the sat after. I am looking forward to this one should be a fun build and lots to learn.
  17. Coop Marc Adams has you covered ๐Ÿ™‚ https://www.marcadams.com/product/decorative-finishes-distressed-aged-fumed-crackled-with-david-smith/
  18. I have used a fair amount of poplar for painted projects and find that it takes paint great, does not break the bank from a cost perspective, and its one of only a few woods I have no issues painting ๐Ÿ™‚
