  1. Looks great. If you hadn’t called it to attention, only you would have noticed!

    Hi

I darn sure don’t qualify there and being from the south doesn’t help!

    Hi

Ok, 5 out six call this place forums. I agree with @Tmize’s first post as being forum. He changed it on his second post. I think of it as a place, singular and not people, plural?
  4. I was told that once a circuit breaker like this throws, that it weakens it and takes less to throw it each time. At $6 each plus shipping, I ordered two, one for my brother and me, as spares. It will probably sit in a drawer and never get used, hopefully!
  5. So far, with the new circuit breaker, all is well. For some un explained reason, I have chosen a 1/4 round on the crank as my go to on the 735. Always have. We’re back to good!
  6. Mine are all hard wired as well.
  7. I’ll have a look at Lowe’s this weekend. I have 8’ in my shop and 4’ in two off areas. The 4’ have double pins and the 8’ single pins. I guess that’s standard?
  8. Ok, it appears to be more than that. You’ll really enjoy that filter over the bag! With the bag, when I turned my dc on, it looked like “Pig-Pen” from the Peanuts comic strip!
  9. Mine is essentially the same setup only using the HB unit. Occasionally I will go around the filter and tap on it vigorously to remove some dust. About three times a year, I will take the filter and put it inside a large plastic garbage bag, insert my arm and hand inside it and flick the pleats. Is your id on the ply the same as the id of the filter?
  10. I’m sure it’s been mentioned before but my search techniques aren’t the best, believe it or not? I would like to convert all of my 8’ fluorescent tubes to led. I hear that you can buy the led’s to work with or without the ballast in existing fixtures. I hope I never see another ballast. I know nothing about lumens or watts and my ceiling is 8’ if that makes a difference? Anyone have such knowledge of what works best?
  11. Simple, practicable and a neat design! I like it!
  12. After a slight negotiation in price, at no additional cost to the members, I think we have it resolved. Thanks for your continued support! ?
  13. Thanks Jamie but I need as much depth of the trim as possible so I don’t have permanent pucker from pin nailing. I have the 735. Ironically, my brother thought he had a circuit breaker problem and ordered one and didn’t have to use it. After a two hour drive, back and home, got it installed and it works great. The circuit breaker is rated for 18 A, and I am pulling 14.1 at the most. Should be ok.
  14. $258.00 later, I now have lumber for jamb and casing. After jointing one edge and one side, I ran all thru the planer. One board has wonky but great looking grain. When the planer got to that area, it shut down. I changed blades, waxed the table and it did it again twice on other boards. I will order another switch and see if that solves the problem.
  15. Looking great Jamie! Good idea on the wedges to give even clamping pressure. I wouldn’t have thought to do that.

    Apologies

That ain’t right. But we have an Astrodome that we have no idea what to do with.
  17. Why is that? To avoid nicks and scratches? And foam brush on the clear after install?
  18. Looks like 2x studs are hard to come by. Lumber was backordered for two days. Just as well as rain is in the forecast. I took a ticker shock today after buying the walnut for the jamb and casing. $8.25 bf was the best I could do. I think I will attempt to make the jamb myself. Not knowing the exact floor depth, I will leave the stiles a few inches proud at the bottom and let the contractor make the final cuts. There needs to be plenty of clearance below the door as that will be the return air.
  19. Nice job @Tmize. Would have liked it but I ran out of likes after 3.

    Apologies

I think the downfall of 2020 started on 1-21-20 when the first case of Covid hit the US and peaked on 11-3-20, or somewhere there about. Just making a joke, seriously!

I looked into it and from what I can determine, it was due to atmospheric rays created icons ago. Totally out of your control.
