  1. Hey wouldn’t you know it they called me back and said the tool is defective. Am on hold with them now. Yeah I agree I have bought a few other things from them and haven’t had to much issue. For the money they are good products.
  2. I agree. I mentioned to them that this process has drug on long enough. Half tempted to say to them ship a new saw or a refund.
  3. After returning the saw last early last week I looked at the tracking and Grizzly recieved it on Thursday. I called them on Tuesday asking if they found anything out on it, their respose was that they didnt have the saw. Went over the tracking numbers with them and they agreed that the saw was at their place but nothing has been done with it. Not in their notes that they even had it. Jump ahead to today, same thing. Nothing showing on their end that it was even there. Frustrating. Half tempted to ask for a refund.
  4. Yes it is. Little set screw on the counter sink cutter head on a tapered bit. If I remember the set was like $20 for 3 bits
  5. You running the dewalt ones? I picked them up at hd one of my last trips there. 3 piece set and have been pretty impressed by them. I also use them all the time. Really never take it out of my m12 drill.
  6. Great video showing the different ways that you organized the drawers. Really liked the blue foam board idea, have a couple sheets of it in the shop and you gave me a bunch of ideas for them!
  7. Did mess around with my hcm tonight. Put a new base and fence on it. Had to go with a 2” thick fence to allow the hold down to clear the head of the machine. Not the highest quality piece of equipment made but fir $75 with like six chisel sets it should do the trick. Thanks fir the advice of doing two passes with the half inch chisel, works pretty nice and by flipping the board end fir end it makes sure the mortise is centered. Did a little practice run with it and didn’t go to bad. Think it is going to be the method that I use for the 8 mortises.
  8. I can only hope for that!
  9. Nicely done sir, looks very stable. I like how the adjustment seems very simple to operate.
  10. Now there is an idea!
  11. If I mention it I bet I will get the eye roll from across the room.
  12. The saw is boxed up and ready to ship. Hopefully not a 2 week process of shipping back and forth.

It’s not so much the manufacturers but the phones. Don’t believe iPhone has the magnetic charging. I know when I switched to iPhone I asked about it because I had a charging base for my android. They told me then that it wouldn’t work. But that has been a few years back and things might have changed.
  14. Thought about doing it with the router, don’t have the bit yet. It is ordered. I agree I’d like it to be 3/4. The table is going to have to hold up to some late night shaking from time to time. Well hopefully.
  15. Yeah no kidding. ? boy I feel silly! Thanks!

I believe in the Chevy that the phone charger is built into the tailgate so you can hold your phone against it while pushing. ? In all honestly I believe the charger in the arm rest only works on android smart phone. Don’t believe they work with iPhones, or flip phones

    Congratulations on the new tool!
  18. They are pretty nasty cracks. I’ll try to get you a picture of them. Question for the group.....my Mortising machine is an old Craigslist find, the biggest bit I have that fits it is 1/2”. Was originally planing on the legs to do around a 3/4” mortise. Did a practice one the other night by using the drill press to hog out most of the material with a 3/4 bit and cleaned up the rest by hand. Wasn’t to hard to do but boy do my hands throb doing it. I have had carpal tunnel surgery done on both of my hands a little over a year ago and it seems to have flared it up again. So long story for a short question.....do you think the 1/2 tenon will be acceptable in the legs that are going to finish up around 1 3/4 inches?
  19. They are mostly hairline cracks and checks that extend quite a ways through the piece. Thought about working some glue into them but would probably show up when staining.
  20. I usually do that as well. With this one I plugged it in before I had a chance to burn the boxes. Had a gut feeling that it might be going back right away. Am really surprised that they don’t have rainbows and unicorns drawn all over them from the girls playing in the shop.
  21. It will take it from 6 to 12 roughly. Idk if I will ever resaw anything that big but would be nice to have the option. Especially if it’s free! I’m a cheap bastard, usually bites me and costs me more in the long run tho. ?. I’m almost thinking of just asking for a return of my money at this point and just cut my losses. All I’d be out is some time and about $50 spent on blades. Boxing this thing back up hasn’t been a lot of fun either.....had a neighbor over this morning to help set the machine back in the box. Hard part is doing the puzzle of packing all the parts in their spots. No clue on some of them.
  22. Did get the leg parts all milled up. Will have to go back and make a few new ones as I found a few cracks that I didn’t know were there. Hard to tell when the lumber hasn’t been skip planed. Thinking I might take the stack back out of the garage to a buddy’s planer. My little dewalt isn’t quite big enough for most of the boards. Wife has decided that she doesn’t want the look of breadboard ends, so the project got quite a bit easier. She did mention that she would like a bench for one side of it.
  23. Grizzly got back to me on Saturday. Dear Jamie, Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, at this point, we believe the best option would be to return the bandsaw for repair, or replacement, based upon our inspection. Please note that you would be responsible for packaging the machine, preferably in the original packaging. We would then email you information for return shipping. Please advise if this is acceptable. I got back to them and will be boxing the saw back up. It’s kinda disappointing because I could use it on the table project. I did mention in my response that a riser block upgrade would be nice for the trouble, they responded by saying compensation will be determined later. Overall I’ve been happy with their customer service, not happy with the product so far.
  24. Yes share the link! That idea of the extension crossed my mind. Our dining room isn’t overly big. The magazine built theirs 80 inches long, I’m feeling more like 72-76 will fit better in our home.
