Mine is essentially the same setup only using the HB unit. Occasionally I will go around the filter and tap on it vigorously to remove some dust. About three times a year, I will take the filter and put it inside a large plastic garbage bag, insert my arm and hand inside it and flick the pleats. Is your id on the ply the same as the id of the filter?
it is pretty close to the same ID. The ply ID may be a tad smaller than the filter ID ... like 1/4" ish

I am hoping so!! I mean I doubt it could get worse lol

finished up the first round of this build .. it rolls good and is heavy like I was hoping.
Next I need to build the moxon vise so I know how much room it is going to take up and then onto the drawers to finish off the interior.
I do have to say ... I absolutely despise my Rolair air hose! I either need to find a new one or find a compact hose reel I can mount. Here is my hose after pulling out like 10 feet to work with.

I ordered this thing a long time ago and no idea why I’m just getting around to installing it. Yesterday I had to keep the door shut because it was cold outside so I fired up the DC and it just felt like I was chewing dust ... my jet has the cheap 5 micron dust bag on top and as you can imagine doesn’t really do crap!
Took off the bag ...
measured for size .. no string around so electrical tape had to do
installed.. I need to put silicone around it but I have to go to HD to get some so it will be a few hours but my donut is ready.

ya should be fine ... when I redid my garage electrical I put 20A in all my 120v just for that very reason. only pops now when I do something dumb like a 1/16 cut off ash or something else crazy hard ? same planer as you ...

got it almost completed today, except for the fact I forgot to get a 2x8 lol. had 1 too many 2x6 and so I cant wrap the top apron yet. Going to HD tomorrow and pick one up.
Building out the frame ..
2 sheets of 3/4 MDF
Cutting out the top .. man melamine and MDF beat me up today. Such a whipping flipping those around in small spaces.
Got the panels installed with just a minor inset for most likely smaller clamps on this side.
panels installed .. next up is to goget my 2x8 and wrap the top and then wrap bottom as well, just wanted to do it all together so I figured that was a good stopping point. Pocket screws for the bottom.

With sincere apologies.. What am I missing? Obviously, my screen doesn't look the same as yours but, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing??
No worries ... The Home > General .. etc etc should have arrows I believe.
The middle blue pink and red circles should have the logos for FB, youtube and instagram
This insert into post, was a "+" sign before ... its like all the little images got erased, or not carried over

I had to refresh my location as well.. I always have this open so, when I fired up my computer, it just didn't like the location. Once I reopened the forum, I didn't have that issue any longer.
I'm not noticing this issue.. Has it resolved itself?
No I am still seeing it ... let me check other browsers and clear cache real quick

$258.00 later, I now have lumber for jamb and casing. After jointing one edge and one side, I ran all thru the planer. One board has wonky but great looking grain. When the planer got to that area, it shut down. I changed blades, waxed the table and it did it again twice on other boards. I will order another switch and see if that solves the problem.
what planer you using coop? how much of a cut are you taking?

Icons seem to be messed up for me ...
Did the URLs change? First I got a 404 error and then I got the site index ... Also had to gain access back to the forums by going through the main website. Maybe it is just me?

You could always turn the heat on 15 minutes before going out and should be good to go after your coffee is ready.
Hah! That is problem, I dont have a heating solution yet ... so it is what it is out there and I cant really adjust it yet. Still looking into how to heat the garage.
4 minutes ago, Kev said:Also, be sure to protect your finishes and glues in the cold weather. Believe it or not, a small refrigerator works great! Just turn it to the warmest temperature that it has.
yes, I will be bringing my finishes and glue inside here in a week or so once it starts hitting 30's at night.

My old shop fluctuated temps and it didn't really cause me any issues.
thats good to hear ... I have always been worried about working in the winter because of it in a non climate controlled shop. Maybe I should worry a little less ?

I just spend normal (kind of) work days in the shop when I'm not on the road.. Pretty much work 12 or 13 hours a day all year.
Looking forward to seeing the projects!
I cant wait to see them either ? haha ... Hopefully they come out like they are in my head
I need to get the heating situation figured out, no fun walking out to the garage when it is 40ish. plus I am worried the wear and tear could be bad heating things up fast from a frozen or almost frozen state like blades and stuff. Cold hot cold hot cant be that good for them ...

hah! well it might be a tad more than 1/4 in some places, but I dont think its too much more ... is that bad or will just some dust settle up there?
Pretty much, as soon as the bag popped full, S**** went everywhere! Really hoping my work today solved it and I didnt screw up the install haha.
