  1. stumbled on this going through youtube ... interesting concept. might be extremely useful for smaller things. especially that infinity clock he built or whatever it was called ..
  2. Ok started doing a little pre work on the plan to vent the DC outside … so this corner is where I am planning to move the DC and vent from there to the outside behind it… it was tough to get a better pic at the moment … but the edge of the garage ceiling is those back 2 squares (blue squiggles). The outside soffit vents are behind that where it shrinks down to like maybe 4” high (red circles) … and then another foot or so deep back there. my main thing is how am I going to get a hose back there? I was thinking of a reducer from 6” to 4” basically righter in the ceiling and then hopefully squeezing a 4” hose through all that without it ripping on the roof nails. then my next question is if that is doable how do I connect to the vent so I know it doesn’t wiggle loose and just vent in the attic …
  3. geez ive watched both this but somehow missed them both scrolling through youtube haha .. thanks!! watching again
  4. oh you fancy a good wall street journal read too? 🙂
  5. Ok I went looking. I’m not seeing the cabinet you’re referring to??
  6. all good .. just looking for some smaller sized ones to have 1 by my miter saw mainly and a couple other places. The normal long rectangles wont fit.
  7. what kind of clips are the ones you attached to your doors to hand the drawings? Those look real nice and are not the longer rectangle ones! I also went the route of more tape measures ... I bought 6 for my garage. Basically 1 at each main space/tool so I had one close. It has been great for quickly finding measurements instead of spending 5-10 mins looking around for one haha.
  8. ya, I guess its costing more due to weight ... I ordered Coops from Grainger and shipping was like $19. 5 gallons less, so I am assuming it weighs quite a bit less ?? Oneida does not list weight on their drum
  9. oh nice! Ok, ordered one of those drums .. what kind of screws are those? Cant really see ...
  10. Something like this? any issue with the plexiglass leaking air or dust with the silicone added? Also, screws?
  11. So, looking into updating my dust collection some and was going to buy the below ... Then i got to checkout ... $75?? Seems a bit excessive, no? Any ideas on getting this drum cheaper? Any reason to not just rig up my own after seeing this??
  12. are you thinking like going into the wood braces under there? (blue circles) might be time for something like that ... right now its just an open space to collect random crap. right now its the dovetail jig and no mdf top MFT table haha
  13. Every 10 years we get 4” of snow and the state shuts down for a month. This is why we all need them!!
  14. How do y’all store yours? I put it in the standard miter slot storage on the saw but it’s falling away and not sure if that’s putting undo stress on overtime twisting it like that?? Any ideas?
  15. this is good to know ...seriously thinking of doing this now to help free up some room in my garage
  16. I’m an idiot … was prepping my miter gauge for cutting these and looked down… Didn’t even realize this was one there 😞. Now Coop I was getting lengths around where your brother was ..
  17. beautiful piece there!! Welcome to the forums
  18. ah thanks .. didnt even think about that whole segmented turning group that has it down
  19. I am trying to figure out how to do the math on this … I want to make a 20” circle not sure how to calculate length of each piece … I found this on a website to get the angle, but not board lengths … If you have 20 boards: 20 * 2 = 40 bevelled ends 360° / 40 = 9° each end should have a 9° bevel on it, so each end should be cut 9° from perpendicular: basically was going to make this: with mitered corners and then a plywood bottom that is inset with a rabbit. Figured it might be easier than gluing 10/4 boards together and hogging it all out
  20. haha ... oh for sure!! I have big plans of organizing, then I get out there and get sidetracked or decide to work on something else more fun
  21. Love seeing the organization! Gives me hope haha
  22. @Spanky… do you have in bigger slabs? Like 40-45” wide?
  23. selfishly I was hoping you got the Harvey so we could get a legit review haha ... Although, still curious what your thoughts on this beast will be after a few projects.
  24. awesome ... cant wait to see the progress!
