  1. Not really.. It's a purely cosmetic fix. Run a test on something so that you can see how it works..
  2. Nice! Getting near the finish line now!
  3. Nope. Just be sure to sand while it’s still wet. It will drive that dust into the gap and dry it in place. I did a video on this a while back.
  4. My son's bench isn't glued down, it's only lag bolted. If needed, the top could be removed.. We've moved it twice now without removing the top and got the job done. Adding the flip up casters really help to move the bench around when needed!
  5. I wish I was in my shop to get you some exact numbers! I run 2 primary sleds. A traditional sled - ~24" wide and ~18" deep. I have a T-Track in the back fence that I use fairly often for stop blocks and clamping when I need them. A panel sled - No back side fence on this one so, I don't have as much depth limitations. Reality is that I find myself reaching for this sled probably more than the standard sled! It's also ~24" wide and ~18" deep. If I ever get home, I'll grab you some more accurate numbers.. I'm sure you can peek at some of the videos and get some relative (visual) ideas on the sizes.
  6. A little CA glue and sanding without dust collection should fix that little gap up..
  7. This is the one that I use and it's held up for many years.. I just rinse it off after a glue up.. https://www.amazon.com/Speedball-Deluxe-Soft-Rubber-Brayer/dp/B003IFY622/ref=sr_1_8?crid=8N5X2D25SXIO&dchild=1&keywords=ink+roller&qid=1591955520&sprefix=Ink+R%2Caps%2C258&sr=8-8
  8. I use an ink roller a lot but, typically still have to squeeze the glue onto the surface.. Do you find you "waste" a lot of glue this way?
  9. Move to the shoulder is what I use to remember.
  10. Each would have to be a custom order, I agree. I’m sure there are standard sizes but, could also offer the ability of custom lengths to fit the individual. Obviously, they would have to get their own measurements based off of some instructions given. Not pushing you to do it, I just think it could be done.
  11. We would just need to ask the height of the person making the order and then you make them to fit that height.
  12. Bummer.. About 9.5 hours from where I'm at..
  13. it happens.. Would have been a PITA but, if you could have gotten the BB off, you could have just filled the hole in the tenon with a dowel and then redialed after the glue was dry. I'm sure it will last just as long as is though! Looks good!
  14. Damn nice job! Tell you what I'll do if you're willing to keep building them? Contact me via PM and we'll discuss numbers. I don't want any money and I'll drop them in my store on the new website when it launches soon. I won't promise any sales and I won't promise that my site will grow enough to get you any sales. What I will promise is that all the proceeds go back to you.
  15. Where do you live? I think you're kind of close to where I am?
  16. I understand wanting to be primarily hand tools. However, there are projects where the enjoyment just goes away.. ? Even Shannon Rogers has a jointer and a planer..
  17. I know we talked about this on the last forum but, I'm posting the new stuff here now. You guys have been such a huge help getting this forum up and running and I can't thank you enough! I'm releasing this video early for you guys as a thanks for all your help! I only hope I'm home in time to get some more content put together! I went through this one pretty quickly as I did more detail on the last miter bench.. Ready for the usual great questions from this group!
  18. It can be sprayed but, depending on your setup, it would probably have to be thinned as its pretty thick.
  19. I usually wait on final trip of the entire top until the BBs are on so I can trim everything at once
  20. I'm sure you can color it with something but, I've found it easiest to simply mix their bas colors to get the color I want. I believe there's some charts out there to show you what amounts to get some colors they don't stock.. The coffee bar was a mix to get the color my wife wanted. The base on my sons bench was the left over from that project. All from a single quart too, it goes farther than you think!
  21. Another painted base, looking forward to seeing it? For the record, I'm an absolute fan of GF milk paint! It comes in standard colors but, is super easy to mix to get your own color as well. What I really like about it is how it flows out and really hides brush strokes!
  22. I have the LN one and think it's overpriced! If I didn't have that one and were in the market, I think I'd hit a local machine shop and ask them to make me one. There's just not much to them!
  23. Yea, the milling portion of this project is brutal! Even in my temperature controlled shop, it's brutal! Good job! Hopefully, they don't move too much on you!
  24. Cool! I have both guns but, prefer the cup over the gravity and haven't had the sputtering issue you mention.. I have the Q4.. The biggest issue I have with it is that the stand is pretty much "required" to fill it and, of course, I could have one for an additional cost.. Maybe another video in there for people that don't want to buy the stand ?
  25. Ok.. When I get home, I'll go looking for my plans.. Mine were quite a bit longer.. Maybe @Chet still has his plans and could look that up for you?????
