Did we save any? Back order just means longer to get, not longer to pay..

Agreed.. I've had the new band saw on order for nearly 6 months..
  3. Neither.. Just order as you normally would. The affiliate program treats multiple items in one order as multiple items so, it's all good. The idea is to be completely painless on your end other than an extra couple mouse clicks.
  4. I'll pin this to the top, thanks for the suggestion! Very much appreciated!

    No, single head..
  6. Correct. It all shows that my affiliate page directed you to what you were looking for.
  7. Thank you all so much for your help! I know we're getting close to having this all set up! Going forward, I would really appreciate the continued support to help cover some of my costs. There's a button at the top of this forum as well as on my website if you have forgotten the link. It costs you nothing more that a couple mouse clicks to send a few pennies my way. Thanks again to everyone who helped out! It really does make a difference!
  8. I really like that PC jig! To be honest, I wish I still had it! Great work! It's coming out great!
  9. I really like the off cut support and hadn't thought about that. Makes perfect sense though! What do you do to hold it in place?
  10. Something I learned from the urn build is that I really want a dedicated sled for small boxes with mitered corners! The Harvey miter gauge did its job for this build but, if I were going to be building a bunch of these small boxes, a dedicated sled is in order! Thinking about starting this build this week! Interested to see if any of you have one and what features you'd like to have and what features don't you use?? I'm thinking a dual purpose small part sled with a 90 and a 45 degree use with some hold downs and stop blocks. My miter slots are equal distance to the blade so, I should have no issues with the dual use.
  11. Well, that's a start...lol I do have some new parts sitting on my table that need to be put into service! @webmaster
  12. I tried to capture that in the pictures but, it didn't show well. I should have taken extra pictures.. They each have a "pin" that was given to my dad during his life. One is a high school graduation pin and the other is 40 years in the Electricians Union. It would have been easy to tuck both of those away to never be seen again but, I thought it would be better to add them to the urns.
  13. That should get the job done! Make sure you add some lines so you can mount the other side in the same location.. Nice job!
  14. Thanks! No. Cut from 8/4 solid at the TS
  15. As you all know, I lost my dad and my brother late last year. My brother asked that all of his ashes be spread in Hawaii but, my sister and I needed urns for my dad. I had a really nice piece of spalted maple that I had been saving for a special project and some of that really nice walnut from Tennessee - Thanks @Spanky- They always go great together. Thanks to @Chet for the beautiful remembrance plates for the front of each one! I did not film this build but, will answer any questions you might have.
  16. To have a hard drive crap out is not that uncommon. But, to have the company hired to take care of the backups not doing their job is unusual. Regardless, my goal was to not have to rely on someone else to keep this up and running.
  17. Just wanted to put out an update on this.. Our fix was a little expensive but, it's in the works! We have a secondary server on the way to act as the back up. Both servers will have a common hard drive set up and a redundant back up drive. So, if one server goes down, the other one kicks in. If the hard drive goes down, the backup kicks in..
  18. Most chop saws do as well.
  19. Correct, you have to account for the same angle on both pieces to get the desired finished angle.
  20. LMAO! I'm sure we could all use a math refresher course!
  21. You can still find that angle with an angle finder without refreshing your math skills. Simply draw the line on your stock and then use the angle finder. Just be sure to use the actual stock because the thickness of the stock will change that angle.
  22. I use an angle finder for unknown angles and then use that to set up the saw. I hope I understood your question correctly..
  23. Agreed, gaps look good to my eye!
