  1. We had an add on done and completed a couple of months ago. I liked the contractor’s work so much that I asked him for a bid in November to build a portico addition upon completion of the add on. Two months ago, I released him from his bid as he would have taken a hickie and I would probably gotten wonky lumber that we couldn’t return. We’ll look at it again in a couple of months.
  2. Couldn’t have asked for a better match, quilt and bed. Great job, both of you!
  3. Yeah, since it is expandable, multiple dabs won’t hurt, depending on the size of the panel. Like any other silicon or glue, just be wary of the amount of squeeze out as you don’t want any to surface. Might want to play with some scrap material to test the amount.
  4. You are pushing my computer capabilities although I know it’s hard to believe. 😀 Here’s a link. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Lexel-5-fl-oz-Clear-Paintable-Solvent-Caulk/1000269867
  5. And there definitely is no inconvenience. Just one click on your affiliate page and you have the normal Amazon site that we are accustomed to. Even I can do it! 😀
  6. It is a type of clear silicone that according to their claim, that never really sets up. I have used it on several panel projects and also setting panels of glass in my door and have been pleased with it. Although advertised on HD Web site, I only find it a Lowe’s. Small, clear plastic tube with a resealable cap.
  7. I like your shaper set up Jamie. Nice work! Steve turned me onto Lexel in lieu of space balls. Might want to consider it.
  8. Kev, have you noticed an increase in Amazon purchases thru your Affiliate Page since you told us about it? Not to be controlling as I don’t care what she buys, but I now have my wife show me what she wants to order so we can help keep this site healthy.
  9. A full length comes in 21’. I normally cut mine in half and thirds and thread both ends.
  10. Jamie committed. Burgers and fries for dinner!
  11. Now that I like. More like caps than finials. Win, win! Now, you can take it to bed but just not this one yet!
  12. Tell her you thought she said final and not finial. Nah, the bedroom is not where you want dissension!

The Port of Houston has thousands of empty containers and running out of room to store them. It probably doesn’t pay to send a boat load of empty containers back to China and Taiwan and we don’t sell them enough to fill many.
  14. I ran my tee track under both fences until I realized that you have to get the bolt head in somehow. Kind of embarrassing but not un-correctable.
  15. Thanks Kev for the design idea!
  16. Never slept with an assembly table attached to my bed but could be interesting.
  17. “The answer will come”. If you’re like me, it will be at 3:00 a.m. and I get up and write it down and go back to bed.
  18. Will there be center supports for the slats? Our new bed has a rail that runs down the middle, parallel to the side rails with two adjustable foot like supports going to the floor.
  19. So the only ply will be the backs?
  20. As soon as the monsoons leave our area, I will give it a try.
  21. I was wondering if it didn’t just re-distribute the dust? I’ve never tried it.
  22. Jamie, some day we will compare disasters and you will walk away a happy man😀
  23. On a piece where the clamps get in the way like this one, I like to clamp it, then remove the clamps to check the diagonal and if it square, hopefully it remains square after putting the clamps back on. Yeah if the center stiles are floating, then they have to be dealt with using a good square.
  24. On a project like this, do you bother to measure the diagonals to insure it’s square?
