I agree. Good looking enough to leave out on the counter but not so dainty where it’s “ too pretty to use”!

12" X 16"

That's a fairly standard size for me..  Although I never care if I hit those numbers exactly.

I always start with 8/4 and keep them as thick as possible but, flat.  What ever that number ends up being is what the board ends up being.

You have to have a secret on keeping all those joints perfectly inline. I have watched a ton of board videos and am disappointed with a lot of them how the joints don’t perfectly line up. Having built a few I know how challenging it can be, great job! Very impressive workmanship

Not really a trick...  I clamped a straight edge to the assembly table for the final glue up.  I then pushed all the pieces to that edge as I slowly clamped them up.  This goes a long way to keeping things lined up.
