  1. Absolutely! Probably why I have so many of them
  2. I really like the 4" for nearly everything you'd use the 6" for.. They're just smaller and lighter and fit into places the 6" doesn't.. Super handy for machine set ups! I use the 4s more than anything else in my shop.
  3. I have 5 of them.. Wish they were all simple 16ths on all sides as well..
  4. The double squares are my favorite in the shop!
  5. Nope.. The downside to the set is that once you have the 2 bigger ones, you don't really need more. But, if you don't have those, this is an awesome set!
  6. Bandsaw and disc sander. I made a template so, could have template routed as well. They were just a little small for that so, I only used the template to mark them out.
  7. There'd have to be some magic way to get that Harvey into my shop! The expense is one thing but, the work it would take to make it would would be intense!
  8. Nice! That's a great WW project for sure!
  9. Was a very long day but, they're done! Osmo for the finish on these because I wanted to test it.. I'll get some better pictures tomorrow, I'm done for today!
  10. Got them out of clamps and the locations marked for the bar that goes across the front.. Made a set of 1" x 1" bars and rounded them over at the router table and got them installed. Just a screw and a plug like the rest. Next up, DINNER! Then I'll have a look at mounting hardware and some finish..
  11. Got the glue ups done! I'll let these sit for at least an hour before I come back and put the screws in.
  12. Update: Got them all glued up and the initial sanding done. Next up, I rounded the tops of the sides and started softening the finger ends with a trim router and a 1/8" round over bit. Time for a bit of lunch and then I'll finish pillowing the fingers and start some glue ups!
  13. Well, I got an early start this morning.. This really should be less than a one day project even when batching multiples. All the parts are cut and the ends for 2 of the 4 that I'm making are glued up. This shifted my grain match slightly but, I don't think anyone will notice.
  14. The right projects will come along. They usually happen when you're not looking. Just save a few bucks every week and bide your time, the right deal will pop up and you'll be in position to jump on it. Sounds to me like you have the tools and equipment to enjoy your shop so, enjoy your shop! As always, keep an eye on the local used market as well.. Now, if I could find a way to justify the new Harvey DC, my CV1800 would be on the market at a good price...lol
  15. lol.. What's the next big purchase? I've found that if I have to rely on some income from this hobby to enjoy this hobby, it's not nearly as enjoyable.. Just saying..
  16. Woodpeckers make nice stuff but, I'd be looking for the Epstein/PEC/Iguaging stuff for the adjustable.. All the accuracy without paying for the red paint..
  17. Fixed.. You'll love them @Jamie! Congrats!
  18. I'm going to move this video back to private tomorrow unless someone hasn't got the opportunity to view it and wanted to?
  19. lol, yea, I'd of hung sacks of rocks over my kids with bubble gum 😂🤣😉
  20. Yea, I strongly considered it and just went with my gut. I've never had an issue with them either but, I'm also not there to see how much weight gets put on them.
  21. That's what's on the ones in the picture above. Frankly, I don't trust them for anything holding weight that could be above the baby.
  22. Yea, the darker woods probably wouldn't show the burning as well?? I haven't actually tried it though so, I could definitely be wrong.
  23. My DIL has requested some small book shelves like the ones pictured below for the baby's room. How could I resist? Chatting with my wife about it and I told her that there was just nothing "video worthy" in this project.. Fast forward a week and I have an order for several more of them.. This is where "video worthy" might come into play. Stay tuned for details but, I think I have a plan to make these quick and batchable from the scrap bin so, that means profitable for those making a few bucks at what they do OR quick and easy for those needing a quick gift. Mine will not be distressed/painted but, also won't be pallet wood and butt joints. Also, changing sizes to fit particular spaces will be easy! I'm looking at 2 different mounting options.. The first one is about $24.00 and requires very little work. The second option is about $17.00 and requires a little more work. I'll keep you in the loop as to which one I go with. Looking for the group's thought's and input! Now, back to my router table...
  24. I've never had a need for their customer service so, looking forward to hearing about it!
