  1. By now, I'm sure most of you have seen Marc's review.. I don't have the slop issue with mine, anyone else having this issue?
  2. I suppose you could epoxy the bottom to fill those in? It's the bottom so, you won't see it..
  3. I would have made it round first with the flush trim and a template. Then I'd of used that template to create a bottom with no gaps - or minimal ones at best.
  4. Thanks! 1. No, working time stays about the same. Admittedly, I don't use filler very often. 2. That's a micro adjust countersink that I showed in a video a while back. They're used in the aircraft industry but, I use them for woodworking. That one is set up for a #6 screw and produces a perfect countersink every time. The white circle is just the plastic protector to prevent the surface from getting marred up. 3. Currently, there are 2 in my shop and both live in front of my OF table. I will probably add more or maybe do the entire floor.. Just have to ensure that my heavy work table and bench that are on castors will still roll on whatever I decide to use. I do notice it on my feet after a long day in the shop, yes.
  5. Nice.. for the inside circle, you could make a circle jig and use a flush trim bit to clean it up.. This will also give you a perfect template for the bottom.. Just a thought.
  6. Can you show us pictures of your problem?
  7. No worries, they're back in the archives a bit..
  8. Only if porcelain is involved 😉
  9. I just know you're talking about the newspaper 😉
  10. As Bryan pointed out, I built 2 cabinets around my saw.. This is a general storage cabinet.. And this is an oldie that I built for storing my sleds.. This one lives on the left side of my saw and I built a holder onto the side to hold my sled.
  11. These look like the ones I'm using.. Please note this is not an affiliate link so, you'll have to click through my affiliate page if you want to help me out.. They're not expensive.. https://www.amazon.com/Grwanpen-Magnetic-Stainless-Decoration-Displays/dp/B08TBP6P5B/ref=sr_1_17?crid=2XKE5NO8HJG9E&keywords=magnet%2BBinder%2Bclips&qid=1642766923&sprefix=magnet%2Bbinder%2Bclips%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-17&th=1
  12. Those are magnetic binder clips. I'm not sure of their exact name but, I used blue tape and CA glue to hold them on the cabinet. I think I snagged them from a plant I was in that was tossing out a refrigerator. They were stuck to the door of the refrigerator and I snagged them.. Sorry I couldn't be more help on where to pick some up..
  13. That drum in your original pic looks to be pretty heavy which would explain the shipping cost. Shipping has gotten really expensive! I'm sure you've all noticed less giveaways this last year? That's mainly because of the shipping costs that I cover when I do a giveaway.
  14. Yea, I was pretty sure he'd be a good resource for you. Having been in his shop, his set up works pretty well!
  15. Yea, that was kind of the point I was going for in this video.. It's not about how much money you can spend, it's more about the little things that just save steps in the shop that really improve shop efficiency. I thought it was kind of cool today, I got a not from a guy that's more of an auto mechanic and told me he got a lot of really cool tips from watching this woodworking shop video.. I thought that was pretty cool!
  16. Just some things you shouldn't say to another man @Coop 🤣
  17. yea, I hang mine vertically on the side of my sled cabinet.
  18. Knowing where you live, I'm not too sure I understand why you have a snow mobile...lol
  19. You'll never regret good dust collection! Not switching up machines and hoses all the time really will make your time in the shop more enjoyable!
  20. Seems that no matter how many times you cut them, they're still too short 🤪
  21. I'm with Bryan on this one in that you'd be happier with more HP but, that would most likely require a 220 run. I vent mine outside and love it most of the time. They only time it creates a "dust" issue outside is if I let the bin over fill. Then, it make a mess! You really don't see any dust during normal use. The hard piping looks simple enough. If you're able to upgrade the machine, you could go ahead and pick up all your tools with simple blast gates and be done. I think all the bigs make good reliable DC machines. Suggest some homework to see your options but, Oneida, Clearview, Laguna, Harvey, and Grizzly all have legitimate options. I don't recall the brand of the one @Chet has but, it does a nice job in his shop as well so, would also be a viable option for you.

  23. Look up "segmented circles" for turners.. I'm sure they have a program that dials everything in for you.. Something like this.. https://www.blocklayer.com/woodturning-segments.aspx
