I hope your boss is patient and it’s still at his house and not in your truck?

I took all but one board each, of the soft and hard maple, to my shop at work at stickered it. The other two of the bunch, I kept in my shop. I plan on hitting both with a hand plane this weekend to see what it is that I bought. From past experience with your lumber, I doubt that I will be disappointed.
  3. Sweet looking rectangular holes in the legs? ? Good job bud!
  4. I agree! Cross cut/panel sled, miter sled and now, Kev’s infernal circle cutting jig, all need a place to live. But at least these are not one offs and will be used many times in the future. Makes you want to move to The Big Sky state where the air is clean and space is abundant. M
  5. I like the T track on the long fence and am assuming it is on the feed side as I don’t see a kerf cut on either. Rest assured that some day you will need to add an extension for a stop block to the left side of the blade which can be added later. In my experience, the T track and clamps parallel to the blade are an over kill but damn nice to have. Sweet sled bud!
  6. No we were thinking along the same line but I was thinking of a glue up that would require a tighter fit over all. Chet is spot on.
  7. Actually, if they are to be wedged, it doesn’t matter as much.
  8. You haven’t made the tenons on the stretchers yet, have you?
  9. I’d go with plan B as well. Check and double check your measurements and use a marking knife to strike your lines. And obviously work from both sides in with your chisels. A practice cut or two will cut the pucker by more than one half. Good luck.

Two miles before we arrived at a nephews birthday party/crawfish boil, my son calls me and said that an office associate of his wife’s tested positive yesterday. As they had come over this morning and we did our usual hugs, I called the nephew and bowed out and wished them well. Son and dil will get tested on Monday. We are due to travel to see an aunt and uncle in Louisiana in 10 days. This is as close as it has gotten to us. We’ll see.
  14. Looking good Jamie. Will the bb ends extend that far out from the table or will you trim them back? It probably looks longer due to the angle of the pic.
  15. My panel sled is 34”w x 30” deep. I considered the depth of the top of my ts, which is 27” deep to determine the depth of the sled. I can cut a piece of 28” deep ply without the sled coming close to breaking over the back edge of my ts.
  16. Where did you find the rubber end caps?
  17. Those are damn cool Rick. I believe with the leftovers that I would try and peddle to the non vets. Custom Canes by Rick! Great offer Kev!
  18. The reason for proud in my builds was lack of confidence in getting them flush. Good on ya!
  19. Does your bb end sit proud of the top?
  20. I bet they do. Another fine example of Chet costing me money! ?
  21. Looking good bud. Kind of keep an eye on your bearings. They are not the best. I was constantly cleaning them with WD40 and then re-lubing them. I finally had to buy a set of Carters which I wish I had done some while back.
  22. The whip hose attaches to the larger hose or in lieu of?

Well, I got Spanky’s lumber ( word chosen wisely) and it’s some good looking stuff! From Rock Island, TN to Tulsa OK, to Conroe Tx to Houston, to Pasadena, TX. All thanks to Rickey and Kev and an associate of Kev’s , Trey McMillan. Trey made the final delivery at a pre-determined HD location and we were both looking for each other in the parking lot. As luck may have it, we were both driving identical pickups, make model and color. Thanks to all of you guys.
  25. I do and there lies the problem ? I need to listen to others that don’t have a pocket full of change and aren’t retired!
