  1. I would say that the “hump” on the tusks were a little exaggerated but with the curvature of the rails/feet, I think they blend in well.
  2. Great day indeed! Looking spiffy!
  3. Keep in mind that ladies tend to chat amongst themselves more than men do. This could snowball to more work in the future.
  4. I’m pretty sure I saw this on The Woodwhisper but not sure. I needed to join two pieces of wood long grain and leave a slight reveal, less than the adjustments would allow for. The young lady that demonstrated this, said to use some material as shims on the Domino plate. I used double back tape and casino players cards and it worked perfectly.
  5. Great progress indeed. How did you cut your mortises?
  6. We need a Ray update! How’s that back?
  7. I don’t remember if you mentioned it earlier. Will the table break down?
  8. It’s going to be interesting to see your thought process for painting the pieces.
  9. Back in the ‘80’s, the AHJ started requiring drawings of our proposed fire suppression system installations to obtain permits. We bought a used tilt top drafting table but it was a little much for an 8 1/2 x 11” drawing so I found this. It has served me well.
  10. anyone is truly interested in how I bid this project and how I keep track of things as I go, I'll be happy to share that here withyou???? I'm more than happy to share real time numbers with you throughout the project. I think that would be great. Thanks for offering.
  11. Wish I could help but my Sketchup is version 1967, Big Chief tablet and a #2 pencil.
  12. We just returned from a Thanksgiving trip to Franklinton LA, which required going thru Baton Rouge. The trip there required us to park on I-10, in front of a sign that said BR 15 miles, for 2 1/2 hours due to an 18 wheel accident (fortunately, no one was injured) and a 45 min drive back thru due to traffic. I wish there was a way to get from point A to point B without going thru that town!
  13. Realizing that all ts are configured differently but sitting here looking at mine, there is adequate room on the side of my cabinet to cut a square hole for another port and if faced with your situation, that’s what I would do. The dc on my saw leaves a lot to be desired as the majority of the dust is dumped towards the front (direction of the blade) and my port is in the back. I think I just talked myself into adding a second port!
  14. Just thinking. The dc system in my shop leaves a lot to be desired on my ts but on other appliances, it’s amazing.
  15. So hopefully, the clean out for his ts is accessible without moving the table?
  16. Has anything been said about adjustable casters ? I’m sure so.
  17. I’d get in line but it would be too costly as I would have to build a bigger shop! 😁
  18. That looks darn decent! FYI, a big flat thick sponge and a bucket of water, sure beats the heck out of sandpaper.
  19. Thanks for taking the time for the pics!
  20. I know it’s a little early but I will be out in the country in Louisiana with little reception beginning tomorrow. Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving! Coop
  21. Now that’s darn sweet looking! Is the gap stop the stop down the middle and if so, why is called that? I’m assuming that the top is still in two pieces for handling? You guys did a great job! What is the size of his shop?
  22. When I first got the tool, I would use the second setting on the mating piece until I realized that with a good sharp pencil line, there was no use. Your’s just snapped in so effortlessly, didn’t know if you did or not.
