  1. You couldn’t tell you were a newbie woodworker from the quality of work so far. Looking darn good. And quite a good collection of clamps. How do you like the Harvey ts?
  2. Looks great. Are the two motors for tilt and elevation?
  3. I think TB II and III have their advantages as simple, fast and cheap. But where strength is concerned, epoxy overrides all three. Sorry for the diversion. Back to originally scheduled program.
  4. The reason for asking, someone posted this on another site. Making bread boards it is important to use titebond III. Long ago when I was more rebellious I made fully glued breadboard ends. No offset bore hole for a dry joint. It worked! After many people said it would fail, I called Franklin glue company and spoke to the engineer. Titebond is not allowed in trusses or engineered beams. Because the glue allows "creep". Their words. And creep makes titebond a woodworkers best friend as it allows wood to move. And I don’t see epoxy “creeping”. Thanks for your opinion.
  5. I like Chet’s build a bunch but I also like you getting the stretcher higher off the floor which will give the users more leg room, especially if they go with the island config, where there is only entrance to the seating from one end.
  6. Speaking of epoxy, although it’s a different application, it’s a segue. Do you feel that using epoxy instead of TiteBond in an end grain to long grain glue up using Domino’s tenons adds addition strength to the joint?
  7. Goodman AC and Igloo both have huge mfg plants on the west side of Houston and use golf carts to get from one place to another. May want to give it a thought! 😁 Looking great guys!
  8. Timing couldn’t have been any better on the heat. Looking great guys!
  9. Money well spent. However, they always blame the imperfections on the novice rock hangers. Good luck guys.
  10. Ray, you might have mentioned and I might have even asked; are you subbing out the tape and float or is that senor Kev is for?
  11. Try and remember the heat you put up with in August in Baton Rouge and that ought to help a bit!

    Lathe Chucks

I won’t be contributing to or even watching this thread as I have been blatantly avoiding going down the turning rabbit hole.😀
  13. Kev, wouldn’t a flat ground blade have been better? I’m still a fan of the Rockler router jig, although I seem to be in the minority.
  14. Pretty incredible!

    Shop Tweaks

You’re right, rock solid with the shims. Thanks

    Shop Tweaks

Great ideas Kev. Thanks for sharing and you even made a video to answer my question about whether the in feed support was heavy enough to support the sled😁

    Shop Tweaks

Kev, is your in feed ts support stout enough to support your panel sled? It looks like you probably planed down the two boards that extend out to be even with the table top?

    Shop Tweaks

Both are pretty cool. Thanks for the videos!
  19. The rock work looks great. Nailed or screwed?
  20. Even a large shop tends to get smaller! Still big enough to be a dance hall! 😁 Looking good!

    Bandsaw Safety

There is/was a member on WT that posted a video this same type of incident a couple of years ago. He was slicing a thin round of wood and it beans or broke his blade and damaged the shroud.
  22. If you weren’t retired, I was thinking you were not getting much sleep with the progress you’ve made. Looking good bud!
  23. Great progress Ray! Are you retired? Are you going to insulate the ceiling prior to rocking it? Have you considered getting one of these? They are well worth the money. Not sure about this particular brand. My brothers father-in-law was in the sheet metal business years ago and made one similar and I borrowed it to rock my garage. Oh, that’s right, you’ve got Kev and a 6’ ladder! 😁 https://www.northerntool.com/products/ironton-drywall-and-panel-hoist-150-lb-capacity-11ft-lift-4987800?cm_mmc=Google-LIA&utm_source=Google_LIA&utm_medium=Construction > Panel Handling&utm_campaign=Ironton&utm_content=4987800&ogmap=SHP|LIA|GOOG|STND|c|SITEWIDE|||||856744510|42214681823&gclid=CjwKCAjwgsqoBhBNEiwAwe5w0x-C6--ACk4Nna15MvxNvLHzscW5HLLlnuR_hI5BFHcX0GZIxcNiuxoCAw4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
