That end grain pattern on that second board is amazing. It’s going to really pop with a finish.

That’s a neat setup!

Back to the cutting boards. Did you do a video on these end grain boards?
-
It would be neat if they sold a template to make your own inlays but their pricing isn’t bad and three are included with the initial order.

I’ll check out Slab Stitcher. That’s cool!

Not a bad idea. Now that the 4th has past, next comes Thanksgiving and a week later, it’s Christmas!

Hey bud, very well done. I have to admit that I almost didn’t watch the video as I had followed the thread. I’m glad now that I did as I picked up some neat stuff that I didn’t previously. Well worth the time to purse both. I have no intention of building something like but found items that will help on future projects. This was a very well thought out project.

My kind of gal. But I wear flip flops and she probably wears boots. 😁

I bet you get some paying commission work out of this project from her friends.

That’s pretty neat! Does she rodeo or are they show horses?

Great coverage. I’m glad my dad was into fire protection as I could never be a concrete worker or a roofer. I’ve done both for myself but would starve to death as a profession.

When you build doors like these with ply panels and mitered corners, do you just glue the panels to the rails and stiles or do you use something like the domino at the miters?

The city recently ran a new 18” water line down our street 8’ below grade using one of those slant hole drilling machines. I was so intrigued that I watched them the first 3 days and explained to el jefe that if I got in the way let me know as I just wanted to learn and not supervise. The second afternoon, I bought them a12 pack of Tecate and after that, I was their friend.

How true. And I’m sure on your end it was wonky material but the results look like bb ply! Well done.

But, I haven’t once heard you say …. “but it’s only horse trailer furniture”. 😁

So you’re gonna micro supervise! 😁

I’ve seen them used to layout dt’s but all were in the use and not explaining the process. The site that I referred to, preferred one mfg above others but doesn’t explain why. Will wait for others to chime in.

A spin off of Kev’s review of the Harvey Compass. When I think of a compass I think of a divider type tool with a pencil on one side, to mark the circumference of a circle. Do any of you use the divider style tool for layout work and can you direct me to a link or two as to how to use these. I did find a site, “ Inspire Woodcraft” on YouTube that kind of helped. Probably my grey area not comprehending!

Ok, I visioned the doors being on the front, white side of your original drawing. I’ll sit back and watch 😁

Thanks and to all as well.
It really feels great to be an American, especially looking at the chaos in other parts of the world!

The taller cabinet is oriented 90* to the left of how it will be, correct?
Is that cabinet grade ply, or supposed to be?

Ooops, I see that now, comparing previous pics to the last.
