  1. Hey bud, very well done. I have to admit that I almost didn’t watch the video as I had followed the thread. I’m glad now that I did as I picked up some neat stuff that I didn’t previously. Well worth the time to purse both. I have no intention of building something like but found items that will help on future projects. This was a very well thought out project.

  2. The city recently ran a new 18” water line down our street 8’ below grade using one of those slant hole drilling machines. I was so intrigued that I watched them the first 3 days and explained to el jefe that if I got in the way let me know as I  just wanted to learn and not supervise. The second afternoon, I bought them a12 pack of Tecate and after that, I was their friend.

  3. I’ve seen them used to layout dt’s but all were in the use and not explaining the process. The site that I referred to, preferred one mfg above others but doesn’t explain why. Will wait for others to chime in.

  4. A spin off of Kev’s review of the Harvey Compass. When I think of a compass I think of a divider type tool with a pencil on one side, to mark the circumference of a circle. Do any of you use the divider style tool for layout work and can you direct me to a link or two as to how to use these. I did find a site, “ Inspire Woodcraft” on YouTube that kind of helped. Probably my grey area not comprehending!
