  1. Coop, Prototyping is huge if you aren’t following the golden ratio or if you can tell from your design if things look right.  Now I say this with times changing in lumber prices.  On bigger pieces, I would use a 2x4 (surfaced or not) and just screw together so you can take apart, on legs you can clamp so you can see if it looks right.  If $9 a 2x4 is too pricey you can find some cheap Cletus wood, pallet wood (blasphemy) strictly for this purpose.

It's about time the poor ole sawmill guy's have started making a little money. LOL

Don’t blame you for taking advantage of this opportunity.  When you start driving a Ferrari to the mill then we may have a problem!

I had a couple camera issues filming this one..  I'm not sure what happened but, it was too late to reshoot as the sled was done..

Makes sense, and reshooting seems like a big hassle, just looked off compared to your norm.

Interesting twisted and it would look cool!  Wenge is currently about $20.00 per BF so, it's pretty cost prohibitive.  Additionally, getting 8/4 for the legs and 6/4 for the top would also require a special order as well as a jump in price.

Just for perspective..  The panels on the bed were a bit over $400.

I did buy some extra to account for drawer fronts on the nightstands though...lol.

I haven't started the designs for the nightstands yet but, I do have a few bits on hand thinking they'll be used.  I have the AM 6/4 for the tops and the plug ins that get mounted in the tops like I did in the desk.

Maybe a good chance to dabble in a veneer project!  Haven’t really done that in a video yet.

  5. I almost had 1 today, I was walking through HD and the price of lumber and sheet goods stopped me in my tracks.  I need a 2 x 6 x 12 PT board to do a down and dirty repair on our deck, price tag $22.  I looked at sheet goods, 7/16 OSB $48/sheet, 1/2” sheathing $74/sheet, 3/4” maple ply $68/sheet.  It’s a good thing I’m not building or doing any remodeling projects.

I always thought that was just the way they were made.  We should looking to that company called Deep Pockets, maybe their pants pockets are a better fit.

I don’t think finding deep pockets will do much good with my alligator arms!  They really limit my reach.

Someone mentioned it one one of the podcasts I listen to, I have no personal experience.  I would have to quit being a nice guy if I had to replace my edge every time I share my tracks. Lol

I believe Chet is 100% correct on this.  I know for certain that if you have the TS75 and TS55 you need to adjust so both are the same.

lol..  No, my wife is usually pretty good about doing that..

Would she be interested in coming back east and mowing my lawn?  I’m getting tired of cutting the grass, I think I need a ZTR or a riding mower

Yes, they all got a 1/8" round over at my wife's request..  I didn't want them but, she did..

And of course she got what she wanted! Looks really good, I like the contrast between the AM and wenge.
