I tried typing in shirts in the search block to find the thread for the new Kev’s shirts and nothing popped up. Maybe it’s my iPad?
Anyway, when I got out of the shower, I put on a pair of black and white checked pajama pants and a black short sleeved Kev’s Wood Working shirt to watch tv in. My wife said, “darn, you look good in black”! Fingers crossed! ?

After the drop in price of oil, Houston wood prices followed suite. Don’t know the correlation. Premium cherry is now below $3.25 bf and they will load it for you curb site.

Kev and Chet were instrumental in my purchase of a sprayer, and I chose the Mini-Mite 3. Never let it be said that Chet can’t help you spend your $$$. ?. It this case, it was money well spent.

Well got some work in over the weekend ... the wife helped me clean out the big ugly metal shelves in the back. Now that its gone it feels so much more open, I really like it out of there.
Then today got some time to joint some more face frame material ... will have to plane another day, hopefully tomorrow if I get out of meetings soon enough.
Gotta love the action in those boards, cups, twists, bows and all sorts of fun stuff
Also curious ... do yalls planers leave this much behind? Maybe I am taking too thick of a cut and it cant keep up? (1/8" cut) the pic doesnt look too bad, but really it was about 5 boards and maybe 10-12 passes total.
I do that all the time, say planers and mean jointer but not visa versa for some reason.

Quit your bellyaching. At least I don’t ask for a pat on the butt! ?

Chet, have you looked at Infinity blades. I haven’t had to replace my jointer blades but use them on my planer, per RichardA’s recommendation and they last longer and sharpen well here at home.

I can’t afford those New York City prices! ?

See, you taught me me good. If it were standing on the side of a mountain, I would have spotted it a hundred yards off. Wouldn’t have seen the forest for that tree! ?

Rickey, are the ridges on the outside of the log a giveaway that it was going to be curly? That’s purty!

Those are really cool Rick! Your heart’s in the right place. Wish your friend and his wife the best.

Damn Dodge sales guy slipped in an extra $2,300 on me right before I gave him a check. Gave him the finger instead. Gonna go see how Ford and I get along tomorrow.

Glad you found that walnut for me!

I went to the mailbox today and still no check??

The shop transformation has been incredible. Looking great!

Absolutely! Another good offer from him was slip a little of the walnut into his truck headed back my way. ?

I’ve been busting butt all day long around here doing honey does and cleaning up the Suburban to get ready for a trade in and forgot to call. As usual, I guess I’ll get the culls. ?
Kev, do yourself a favor and do the math on the shipping, you might be surprised, especially via motor freight carriers other than UPS. . Another option would be to fly into Nashville and rent something to get you back to MT. It’s beautiful country around there and a greet and meet with Rickey and his wife and see his facilities is a pleasure. You could probably arrange for a hook up with several of the members in his area while there as my wife and I did. I’m sure they would welcome you with open arms. Just don’t ask Rickey to join you at the Chinese buffet. Side story!

I hope to load the kiln Sunday and it will take around 12 days for 4/4 or around 24 days for 8/4. You can dry it faster but it will junk the lumber.
Speaks for the quality that Rickey turns out!

Sounds like these “friends” are turning out to be the same folks that I encounter at the tp isle at Walmart? Just kidding. I’ll Give you a call tomorrow.

Without calculating the overhead of that new fangdangle equipment you have there, wonder how much you want for some of those boards?

Is that log soft or hard? I’ve checked on the check and they can’t seem to find it and the youngun’s are needing new shoes so be gentle on the price. Also my uncle AAA is hurting for business and won’t cut me no slack. Got any pics of the cherry?
