RxR Sawdust Station
It Is The Warfighter It is the Warfighter, not the minister Who has given us freedom of religion. It is the Warfighter, not the reporter Who has given us freedom of press. It is the Warfighter, not the poet Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the Warfighter, not the campus organizer Who has given us freedom to protest. It is the Warfighter, not the lawyer Who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the Warfighter, not the politician Who has given us the right to vote. It is the Warfighter who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag. RXR’s adaptation of Charles M. Province poem. A Thankful Remembrance this Memorial Day! All Gave Some, Some Gave All. To all those who served and sacrificed - Thank You! #SemperFidelis RXR

Chet
That Is a great Poem I have one serious complaint about Memorial Day. It bothers me beyond words I can us on the forum that so many companies use Memorial Day as a reason to by their products. I wish there was more reverence connected with the day. 3 Quote "Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for." - Epicurus

I share your concerns. To include Christmas (I'm not religious) but, I see how far it has drifted from its original intent, which I wholeheartedly support. And, I am a Capitalist - a poor Capitalist, but a Capitalist all the same. 😉 Some sellers make huge contributions to military/first responder organizations, so I can't fault most of them. But, on this day let's remember... "When you go home, tell them of us and say For your tomorrow, we gave our today."~John Maxwell Edmonds. Salute!
