I would have to brand the lid so I would remember what was in there. I find my iron somewhat inconsistent in the depth and color which I am sure it is due to uneven pressure on my part. I now cut 1/4” thick strips of maple and cherry and brand these strips and sand them a bit for consistency of color and discard the ugly ones, then glue a good one in place.

My wife was snoring so I decided to come out to the shop to see what was going on here. I clicked on “online users” and there were 2 members and 58 guests. I guess you can say that I really was bored to have counted them all. Guests, apparently some of you are woodworkers or potential or you wouldn’t be lurking. We would all like to hear what you have to offer, as insignificant as you may seem it to be. Lordy knows we don’t know it all. A bot on a site like this is just a software program that surfs the net grabbing information from all kinds of sites. They're grabbing site traffic data and stuff like that to gear appropriate advertising or to set up fake accounts to post links to their sites.. A bot is created by a human to do a bunch of repetitive electronic tasks much faster than a human can do them. This is why we require people to register to post here. If I was to get rid of my Fuji HVLP I think the one I would be looking at is the Greco HVLP with "Smart Start". The turbine motor only runs when you pull the trigger on you gun. Lot less noise and less wear and tear on the turbine.

Thanks! I haven’t noticed any shorter storage issue. I think it actually helps the can seal better as there isn’t liquid in the rim.

Very nice!! I recently noticed the hole in the lip on a video somewhere does that work for longer term storage as well? Seems like a great idea but I wondered if it was ok for a finish that wouldn't be used up in a short period of time.
